R7 SuperQuad
by TalyorMade

The R7 SuperQuad is the first ever adjustable weight driver with a 460 cc clubhead. The first R7 was only 400 cc because the ports for the weights would make the head too heavy. However, the R7 SuperQuad utilizes the Ultra-Thin-Wall Technology which makes the clubhead walls thinner and therefore lighter. With the weight saved Taylor Made was able to increase the clubhead size to 460 cc.

The Tour Preferred (TP) version of the R7 SuperQuad is for Tour-caliber or higher skilled players. It differs from the standard version of this golf driver in a number of ways.

The center of gravity is higher and the clubface is open by 1 degree. It comes with six weights (2 x 1gram, 2 x 12 grams, 1 x 10 grams and 1 x 14 grams) which increases the possible center of gravity locations to 102.

It has a Fujikura RE*AX with .335 tip and three shaft weights and flexes – 75, 65 and 55; and X, S, and R.

The first model released by Taylor Made was the R7 SuperQuad TP 1st Edition. It differs by the standard TP version in that it came with 10 movable weights for 978 possible center of gravity locations and 75 gram RE*AX TP shaft by Fujikura.
