The first noticeable feature of the King Cobra L5V is the impressive 460 cc clubhead. It is the largest of any of the Cobra golf drivers so far and incorporates a Dual Thombus Face insert.

These features combine to promote maximum ball speed across the cubface, encouraging forgiveness, and longer and straighter golf shots.

Multi-Material Technology means that the clubhead has a 6-4 Titanium body and face insert with a lightweight carbon composite crown. This translates into the center of gravity being lower and further back for a higher launch angle and lower spin.

The Adjustable Flight Technology enables players to switch between the club’s two settings: (0) Standard, or straight; and (1) Draw-biased. It also allows the player to change the shaft. A L5V torque wrench that comes with the golf club driver is used to quickly and easily change the hosel screw to allow the modification in settings. A swingweight also assists to balance the clubhead with the shaft.

(If you want to see how easy it is to make these adjustments then check out the instructions on the Cobra website)

Interchangeable shafts are not yet available but may be so in the future. The shafts available for the King Cobra L5V are X, F or M stock Diamana Red weights.

The lofts available are 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 degrees.

By carefully choosing their shafts, lofts and shaft weight players can choose a combination that best matches their swing.

What the Company Says:

"We take our signature large face and combine it with a light carbon crown and sole insert to move the center of gravity (CG) so low that 70 percent of the face is above the CG. This is significantly more than most drivers and ensures high ball speeds to optimize launch conditions over a large face area. We always design drivers to maximize distance and accuracy. With L5V, we've added versatility. It's so simple to adjust ball flight, which makes L5V even easier to hit." - Tom Morris, Principal Design Lead Engineer

What Others Say:

"It sent the ball on a consistent, low-to-middle trajectory. Hard to have a mis-hit with it." - Golf Digest

"Appears absolutely enormous...even bad shots find the fairway." - Today's Golfer

"Hugely forgiving...massive head and face...flew extremely high." - Golf Monthly
